Karou. Karou. This one was so much more, as much as you thought you learned about these worlds in The Daughter of Smoke and Bone, you discover even more in this one.
Though Karou and Akiva are apart they are battling the same war on either side.
Either to stay with what they know - Death - Or create the world Madrigal and Akiva dreamed of so long ago.

This story gets better and better, though I look forward to whatever ending this story leads to, I am heartbroken to have to ever part with these characters.
These lives, characters and story Laini Taylor has created will stay with me forever...and I knew this from the first book.
