Finally read this amazing book! I've seen many conflicting reviews on it, seems to be a love or hate kind of book, and I'm in love.
What I loved most about this book is that it's quote on the cover "I'm supposed to be grieving, not falling in love" isn't just true for the story but for everyone reading this. I found myself smiling or laughing through about 95% of this book, and the fact that I have an amazing older sister just like Lennie did I still found so much happiness in Lennies way of mourning for her sister.

In summary, the sky is everywhere follows Lennie Walker, raised by her Gram, living in the shadow of her sister. Until her sister dies suddenly and Lennie's world changes in some very strange ways.
With little experience with boys somehow she ends up juggling two. Toby, her sister's boyfriend, she knows it's all wrong but with their only connection being her sister they form a bond that will shortly blow up in her face. Because the new paris transplant, Joe, has it bad for the second chair clarinetist (Lennie). Bonding over music and his mesmerizing smile that seems so foreign in her house of mourning, she ends up falling in love, as does he.
But like I said, it soon blows up in her face when Joe walks in on her and Toby kissing.
Without a chance to explain things fall apart. Throughout their separation Lennie works on pulling her life back together, learning more about her Mother who abandoned her, talking her feelings out with Gram, tearing up her old copy of Wuthering Heights and all it's crazy stupid idea on love. She wants to make her own love story.
She does everything in her power to get Joe back, and it's not easy. But he is SO hopelessly in love with her. He understands it after finding her random notes to the universe that she leaves anywhere and everywhere, and the final push is finding the one just meant for him. A beautiful poem with her heart laid bare just for him.

“My sister will die over and over again for the rest of my life. Grief is forever. It doesn't go away; it becomes a part of you, step for step, breath for breath. I will never stop grieving Bailey because I will never stop loving her. That's just how it is. Grief and love are conjoined, you don't get one without the other. All I can do is love her, and love the world, emulate her by living with daring and spirit and joy.”

This book gives you all the feeeeels!! If you love John Green's writing and overall quirky and fun writing despite a depressing tale, you'll love this book.
A must read.

“The sky is everywhere, it begins at your feet.”
